Metal Fiber Surface Burner

 

The metal fiber surface burner is fueled by premixed fuel gas. The combustion mainly takes place within 15cm of the metal fiber surface. Because the large area metal fiber surface is featured by uniform permeability, the fuel gas completely premixed causes stable combustion with uniformly distributed temperature, which prevents local high temperature flame usually found at conventional burners and thus suppresses the generation of thermal NOx mainly produced during the fuel gas combustion process. In normal operation, the NOx emission is less than 30mg/Nm3(@3.5vol.%O2).

Work Principle

For BMG series metal fiber surface burner, the fuel gas is premixed with air at the premixer after air blower and is further mixed when the gas mixture flows through the turbulence intensifying assembly. The distributing cone inside the metal fiber burning cylinder ensures an even flow rate of fuel gas to the metal fiber surface and a stable uniform thermal load at the surface. The air flow is controlled with the air door servo motor and the fuel gas flow is controlled with Siemens fuel gas valve set. The proportional differential pressure control strategy adopted makes sure that the air-to-fuel gas ratio satisfies the design requirement.
